Lo, The Twice-Lived Summer of Bluebell Jones is out. I’ve seen it in a shop and everything! (No, I didn’t take a photo OR turn it face out, but I will be flinging sticks of Bluebell rock at selected lovely bookshops to prove my demented writer credentials.)
Now, I don’t know about you but I’ve spent most of the last two weeks crying at sport and singing Spandau Ballet. In between always believing in your soul and being indestructibuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul, however, there’s been a little blog tour thing going on. Here’s a handy cut-out-and-keep list of links to the lot:
Day 1: GIRLS HEART BOOKS – on picking out character names
Day 2: BOOKS 4 TEENS – photography: why I’m a rubbish photographer (and why I’d never get to take photos like these!)
Day 3: CHICKLISH – the Red and Blue playlist
Day 4: UKYA – young adult fiction with a Welsh setting
Day 5: YAYeahYeah – on Doctor Who and why I love timey-wimey stuff
Day 6: Library Mice – ‘Sidestep Contemporary’: my favourite books set in the here and now, with one twist of magic
Day 7: Serendipity Reviews – how the book nearly became The Twice-Lived Summer of Bluebell Fish
Day 8: Fluttering Butterflies – why I wrote this book twice (or, DON’T DO WHAT I DID, I AM A BERK)
Day 9: Nayu’s Reading Corner – on plot twists, spoilers, and giving it away
Humungous thank yous to all the brilliant book bloggers who took part – and massive huggy thanks too to everyone who’s reviewed the book, and said such ridiculously generous things about it. You’re all aces and it means so so very much. (For serious. Read the blog from Day 8 and you’ll get why.) Next up: signed book giveaways coming up on Twitter and Facebook, and you’ve got until the end of August to enter the Bluebell Jones Summer Snap! competition to win Bluebell’s camera. (Fantastic entries so far!)
And next up for me: sitting on a sunny balcony in Italy, with my Kindle and an endless supply of gelato…
But first, all together now cos it’s stuck in my head again:
GOLD! (gooold), Always believe in your sooooulll…
