Introducing: The Twice-Lived Summer of Bluebell Jones

New book! Pub day!

Well, OK, technically it’s not out until tomorrow – but The Twice-Lived Summer of Bluebell Jones is now available from *film trailer voice* all good bookshops. (It’ll be available as an ebook for all formats imminently, I promise, once the magic internet hamsters have got on it.)

Here’s what it’s about:

Isn’t that book cover gorgeous? Would you like to know more about it? Well, by a spooky coincidence I happen to be embarking on a blog tour from today, and that’s one of the things I’ll be waffling about – along with the Welsh seaside setting, the Blue and Red playlist, and why it took me quite so humiliatingly long to write this book. (Also Doctor Who, because I wrote a book about time-travel and I’m not letting an excuse to nerd it up go ungrabbed.) Here’s where you can find me:

And, like it says right there, you can win indeed win Bluebell Jones’s camera, by entering the Bluebell Jones Summer Snap! competition. Click the pic for all the details.

I’ll do a big round-up post once the blog tour is finished, so all the links are in one place – and I will try not to be insufferable and spammy for the next few weeks. I’m just so excited! This one’s taken such a long time to get right, and so many people have helped along the way, and I don’t want to let anyone down. Big ginormous thank yous to everyone involved in the blog tour. Big hugs to everyone who’s read it already and sent me such lovely, generous comments. Hooray for everything!

(Erm. I may still be a bit addled post-Olympics opening ceremony. Nurses and kidlit! TARDIS noise! The Queen picking her nails! It’s like we’ve gone all capslocky and unBritish just for this summer. I like it, can we keep us?)
