The Twice-Lived Summer of Bluebell Jones
What if you could have a second chance?
All Bluebell Jones wants for her thirteenth birthday is to be someone else: a carefree, confident teenager, like her big sister Tiger. Mum and Dad’s band are playing tiny Welsh seaside town Penkerry all summer long, so this is it: her big chance to transform into a whole new girl, before Mum’s new baby arrives and she’s a big sister too.
But she won’t have to do it alone. When Blue blows out her birthday candle, up pops Red, her fourteen-year-old self: brave, snarky, and surrounded by brilliant friends – Fifties-obsessed Fozzie, Dan the Donut, and the mysterious, charming Merlin. Red’s everything Blue wants to be. With her help from the future, predicting every embarrassing mis-step, Blue’s guaranteed to have the summer of her life.
But Red’s got a secret…
‘Don’t look so appalled, Blue. People lie to themselves all the time.’

My Invisible Boyfriend
15-year-old Heidi is stuck at the boarding school for drop-outs where her parents teach, with only a cake-shop Saturday job to escape to. She’s always been the new, odd, geeky kid – so when her coupled-up friends assume she’s got a secret boyfriend, she can’t resist going along with the idea.
Enter Gingerbread Ed, a sexy lovemuppet with a motorbike. He’d be perfect – if only he was real, instead of based on Mycroft Christie, her favourite time-travelling TV detective. But now her friends are sending him all kinds of revealing messages… Will all those little white lies destroy Heidi’s chance at real romance – and all her real friendships with it?

I love this book called Girl Meet Cake and I didnt want it to end please do another book about Heidi and her relationship with Rupert aka tEddy
Oh, thank you! So pleased you enjoyed it. No plans for a sequel, sorry, so you’ll just have to imagine Heidi’s future for yourself… 🙂
I really want to read the book My Invisible Boyfriend. I have read the Pea books and my favourite is Pea’s book of birthdays. I prefer your YA fiction now I am a bit older. The character I am most like is Clover because I love acting and even though I am shy I can be a bit dramatic….. I love Alice in Wonderland too and I’m quite mature for my age. 🙂 (like clover)
Thanks for being so amazing 🙂 Love your books 🙂
Rosie Xx
Hi Rosie – thanks so much for commenting. You do sound a lot like Clover!
If you’re ready to move on to some ‘older’ books, that’s brilliant – My Invisible Boyfriend has a school musical in the background, and lots of ‘dramatic’ characters. If that’s a bit too ‘teenagery’ for you, you might enjoy The Twice-Lived Summer of Bluebell Jones too. They are quite different from the Pea books though…
Hope you can track them down in your local library 🙂
Best wishes, Susie xx
WOW… I’ve got the same name as u, AND the same personality…. Are you me?
